One of my uncle’s best friend - Mr.Zhou, who is currently working as the commander of St.Petersburg University Symphony, invited me to “experience the local bar culture” yesterday. He told me lots of things about the Tsarist Russia, he said that St. Petersburg is a typical city of Tsariste Russia culture, Moscow, in the other hand, is a typical city of Soviet Culture. He also taught me some musical things, which is far beyond my knowledge. But it’s quiet interesting to meet some new friend in a totally unfamiliar city.

Even though China didn’t make it to World Cup, we still can see those Chinese fans in Russia. On our way to the St. Petersburg stadium to watch Brazil vs. Costa Rica game, we encountered a group of Chinese fans, they come from different parts of China. Sisi is one of this big group who came from Hong Kong. She took horse from Moscow to St. Petersburg!!

If China qualify to World Cup one day, there must be way more Chinese fans than there are right now!

Moscow is a fantastic place, I watched two World Cup Games on Luzhniki Stadium, learnt a lot of different stuffs from different guest speakers, most important, I met with one of my best friend, Feng, who is also my high school roommate. He is currently working in CCTV5 as a German translator, we haven’t met each other since 2015, since he’s living in Germany right now. We talked about his life in German and Bundesliga. We has some good time by grabbing some beer and watching the Argentina vs. Croatia. Good time does not last forever, right now, I’m on the train to st.petersburg. Hope we can experience more interesting stuff there.

Today, some of our classmates went to the World Cup game, and some of us stayed at the food court to do some surveys. To be honest, the whole process is never easy, some people might turn you down, some may give you some incompleted surveys. However, I do enjoy the communication with fans from all over the world (interviewing Senegal fans help me pick up my French skill). Generally speaking, interview is never easy, but at the same time, it will help us learning things from different culture and making more friends!
